We will provide the training to enable you to undertake inspections, surveys and investigations of various structures. You will work closely with other team members and your work may involve working at height and in confined spaces so you will need have a reasonable level of fitness. When you are in the office your time will be spent assisting with the preparation for projects and preparing reports for our clients.
The primary responsibilities will be ensuring technical compliance through report checking and approval and assist with the training and development of team members.
The successful candidate will have qualified for, or be working towards qualification in, the new Bridge Inspector Certification Scheme (BICS) or certification to Network Rail STE4 & STE7 competency standards. The role will involve a combination of office and site-based projects, inspection of a variety of structures, leading inspection teams, preparation of reports, drawings and schedules of defects, planning programmes of inspection and undertaking complex one-off projects.
