ISO 9000 is a family of standards for quality management systems. ISO 9000 is maintained by ISO, the International Organization for Standardization and is administered by accreditation and certification bodies.

Some of the requirements in ISO 9001 (which is one of the standards in the ISO 9000 family) include a set of procedures that cover all key processes in the business; monitoring processes to ensure they are effective; keeping adequate records; checking output for defects, with appropriate and corrective action where necessary; regularly reviewing individual processes and the quality system itself for effectiveness; and facilitating continual improvement.

We have been independently audited and certified to be in conformance with ISO 9001 state that we are "ISO 9001 certified".

We sucessfully completed the OHSAS 18001: 2007 audit in November and have been awarded a Certificate for occupational health and safety covering all of the Group activities. This award reflects the determination of Up and Under Staff to achieve the high standards required and reflects the company’s responsibility to its staff, itself and society

The OHSAS 18001:2007 covers:

• The safety and prevention of accidents for staff at work
• Educates employees on occupational health and safety issues
• Develops new systems and practices for occupational health and safety issues

The Investors in People Standard provides a framework that helps us to improve performance and realise objectives through the effective management and development of our people.

In 2008 we successfully completed the IIP audit and were recommended to recieve the award

Constructionline is the UK's register of pre-qualified local and national construction and construction-related contractors and consultants. Owned and endorsed by the Department for Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform (formerly the DTI), Constructionline is a contributor to the Rethinking Construction initiative. We gather and assess pre-qualification information on behalf of public and private sector procurers.

The concept of a single national database was initially proposed by the 1994 Latham Report on construction industry modernization and efficiency, 'Constructing the Team'. Since then Constructionline has grown and been updated to stay relevant to the needs of modern procurement.
