Legislation Update – New HSE Law Poster

From the 5th April 2014 you will be required to display the new (2009) style Health and Safety Poster.  If your poster looks like this:

It should be replaced with this:

Alternatively you can supply all workers with a leaflet or pocket card.  More information can be found here.  Alternatively if you want to download the free leaflet go here

The HSE website contains the following advice:

“Employers have a legal duty under the Health and Safety Information for Employees Regulations (HSIER) to display the approved poster in a prominent position in each workplace or to provide each worker with a copy of the approved leaflet (available as a free download in alternative formats) that outlines British health and safety law”
