Outcome Persons attending this course will have a sound understanding of how to operate machinery with abrasive wheels, understand the types of wheels available and recognise the place of PPE in safe working with this type of machine. All attendees will receive a certificate of attendance and employees will be provided with copies of the assessment records.

Course 1 is aimed at staff with little or no experience of abrasive wheels. Course 2 is aimed at experienced workers who have not had formal training.

Both courses deal with bench/pedestal machines up to 9″/225mm dia wheels
and portable tools with disk sizes up to 12″/300mm. Training for larger wheels can be arranged

Training is in accordance with HS(G) 17 and PUWER 98
